The Argentine National team was accepted to the World Cup round of 32 in South Africa this year after defeating Uruguay 1-0 in Montevideo, the capital of Argentina. Deciding the team for coach Maradona was hard with a huge pool of players to choose from. The final squad could be called a star-studded one that consists of players that are all on elite teams in the EPL and Europa league. The players include Lionel Messi (Barcenlona FC) Diego Miloto (Internazionale FC) and Carlos Tevez (Manchester City). Lionel Messi could be called the best player world after his display in the UEFA champions league scoring a total of 11 goals. In the group play Argentina will be playing the Greece, Nigeria, and Korea National Teams; all of which they have beat multiple times before. So far I have optimistic hopes for the Argentine National team that they will make it far in the World Cup, but sadly I have to say they will either loose to England in the Quarters or loose to Spain in the Semi-finals. No matter what happens it will be hard to win. What do you think will happen?

I have to agree with you, England looks pretty unstoppable right now with the way Wayne Rooney has been playing. Spain also looks very unforgiving with David Villa scoring consistently and Fernando Torres back in the lineup. Lionel Messi is going to have to rally his team for the trip to South Africa. It looks like Argentina has a tough road ahead of them but they have the talent and experience to beat some good teams in the tournament.
ReplyDeleteArgentina will easily win there division with easy teams like korea and nigeria but I also agree they will have a hard time with major teams like brazil and england. As for messi it is very argumental that he is the best I mean even if he had 11 goals they could have been easy teams and he might be a ball hog. Some time the best players arnt the ones that score the most its the one that gets the most assitsts
ReplyDeleteIm definately in agreement with your opinion on Messi, hes definately one of the unstoppable forces on Argentina's World Cup team, and the collection of skilled players that they possess could really be a problem for teams like Korea, but I still think they have a chance with teams like Spain, but ultimately Spain will most likely win the cup. But because they are playing so many unexperienced or novice teams, they have a very good chance of making it to the semi's or close to that anyways. I guess we will have to see what ultimately happens once they make it there.
ReplyDeleteNow i agree with what Trenton said. It's going to be super easy for Argentina to win their division. With teams like Korea, Nigeria, and Greece. Argentina is the strongest team in their divison. Players like Messi and Tevez make Argentina a really great team. Although Argentina is a stacked team. They are only going to go as far as maybe semi-finals. Thats my opinion. Because when it comes to teams like Portugal, England, and Brazil they stand no chance to these teams. But if Argentina can defeat one of these big teams or even all of them i would have to go with Argentina to win the whole thing.
